The Outstanding US Government Program is a program that best illustrates the concepts and execution of netcentricity to establish a measurable strategic or tactical advantage. Applicants must be government programs although contractors may submit awards on the program's behalf. Criteria include:
The Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Network Centric Operations is an award given to the program, company or individual that exhibited a measurable contribution to the advancement and development of Network Centric Operations. Eligible applicants can be a program, company or individual working in Network Centric Operations. Criteria include:
The Outstanding Network Centric Program from a Coalition Partner is awarded to a Coalition Partner who has developed and/or utilized a program in a joint or Coalition environment to achieve interoperability and netcentricity. Criteria include:
The Outstanding Achievement from a Defense Industry Partner award recognizes a vendor, contractor or supplier that has worked closely with a government program to provide a strategic and/or tactical advantage. Emphasis is placed on how well the submission illustrates how the achievement improves operational effectiveness. Criteria include:
The Arthur K Cebrowski Award honors a nominated person who has had an impact on the development and evolution of netcentricity. Nominations are free via this website. Criteria include:
US Government, Defense Industry and Coalition Defense Forces are encouraged to submit applications for IDGA's NCW Awards™. (Civilians working solely and directly for a military program will count as military. Civilians working in a military program office as a consultant to the military will be considered a military contractor).
To be considered for IDGA's 2010 NCW Awards™, your entry MUST meet the following requirements:
1. Each category contains multiple questions, which add up to 100%. Each entry must answer all questions listed. Failure to answer any portion of the application may result in the forfeiture of the entry. If your entry fails to meet the requirements and format noted herewith, you may be disqualified and forfeit your application fee as a result.
2. The entries must be received by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time, Tuesday, December 8, 2009. No late entries will be accepted (unless the deadline is officially extended). The contact person listed on the Application Submission Form will be contacted via e-mail upon receipt of your entry.
3. Application Form (with all required fields filled), must be completed online.
4. Permission Affidavit Form must be completed, online. An application fee of $79 must accompany each entry, for each award category (except for the Arthur K. Cebrowski Award). Payment can be sent by check or made by credit card online. Companies may submit multiple payments for each category (organization and/or individual) on one check. Application fees must be received along with your entry to be considered. For each category you wish to be considered for you must complete a specific category application and enclose the appropriate amount for each one.
5. No proprietary information of the NCW Awards™ program including, but not limited to, total number of applications received, number of applications received in any and all categories, individual scores and/or comments of judges, total scores and/or averages, shall be released to anyone or to the general public, for any reason.
